Slotoro sorts its catalogue into seven sections: Popular, New, Slots, Fishing, Table Games, Instant and Megaways. You'll find games from Pragmatic Play, EvoPlay, Mascot Gaming, 1Spin4Win, Belatra and Endorphina, and apart from the live tables, all of them open in demo mode. What got Slotoro onto this list was the Megaways tab. Extra Juicy Megaways, Curse of the Werewolf, and Christmas Carol were all there together, so we didn't have to scroll through the main list to find them. With online casino games laid out like this, comparing one against another is simple.

Pros

  • Welcome bonus of 100% up to €500 plus 100 free spins on Big Bass Splash. The minimum deposit is €10.
  • Demo mode for every game except live casino.
  • A separate Fishing section (Fishing War, Perfect Fishing, Big Bass Bonanza Megaways). Not many casinos have one.
  • Tournaments with a €5,000 prize pool and prizes paid out by leaderboard position.
  • A weekend bonus of up to €900 and 50 free spins for three deposits of €10 or more made within 48 hours.

Cons

  • The payment options are aimed at Asian markets: GCash, GrabPay, Coins.ph. From Slovenia, we ended up paying by Visa and crypto. There are no local e-wallets.
2

up to €500 + 200 FS
Welcome bonus
up to €500 + 200 FS

BigClash opened in 2025 and already has over 4,000 games. Among them, you'll find NoLimit City (Mental, Deadwood), Novomatic (Book of Ra Deluxe), and Play'n GO. RNG slots come with Provably Fair, so you can check each result yourself. Every casino here says its online casino games are certified, but BigClash was the only one that actually let us verify outcomes. The live section is powered by Evolution and Pragmatic Play, and Lightning Roulette, Red Door Roulette, Stock Market, and Speed Blackjack were running every time we visited.

Pros

  • Over 4,000 games, Novomatic included. Most new casinos don't have it.
  • Provably Fair checks on game results.
  • Your balance stays in euros, so nothing gets converted mid-game.
  • 50 free spins a week on your first deposit of the week, plus a 50% weekend reload with 50 more spins.

Cons

  • The welcome bonus (100% up to €500 and 200 free spins, deposit from €20) has 35x wagering, 40x on the spins, and you only get 10 days.
  • The top cashback rates, 15% on casino games and 25% on live, are reserved for VIP level 5.
3

Hugo Casino

9.4/10 Great 🔥
up to €150 + 100 FS
Welcome bonus
up to €150 + 100 FS
  • Bonus: 100%
  • Min. deposit: 50 €

Hugo is here for its lobby. Besides slots and live casino, it has two separate sections: Bonus Buy and Crash. The Crash section has more than 20 titles, from Aviator and Aviamasters to Mines Supreme, Plinko and Chicken Rush 2. In Bonus Buy, you’ll find Hacksaw Gaming, Peter & Sons and Spinomenal. Among the slot providers are Play’n GO, Relax Gaming, Push Gaming, Quickspin, Thunderkick and BGaming, while the live tables are provided by Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Ezugi and LuckyStreak. For online casino games with a bonus buy, no casino in our comparison came close.

Pros

  • Bonus Buy and Crash have their own sections instead of being lumped in with regular slots.
  • Welcome bonus of 100% up to €150 plus 100 free spins. The minimum deposit is €50.
  • A long list of live roulette tables: European VIP, American, Prism, Venice, Auto Roulette and Roulette 360.
  • Weekly and monthly tournaments with 50+ prize places, and a shop where coins can be exchanged for spins.

Cons

  • The homepage is packed with near-identical Hold and Win games from NeverEnding. To find a classic like Book of Dead, we had to use search.
4

Malina Casino

9.2/10 Great 🔥
up to €200 + 100 FS
Welcome bonus
up to €200 + 100 FS
  • Bonus: 100%
  • Min. deposit: 20 €
  • Wagering: 40x
  • Licence: 🇰🇲 Anjouan (AOFA)

Malina has a catalogue of more than 11,000 games, over 10,000 of them slots, and it is the only one of the five with a separate jackpot menu. Games come from Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Games Global and Spinomenal, and the live section has more than 300 tables, over 80 of them for roulette. It made the top five because we found the progressive prize pools in one place: WonderPot stood at €1,152,213 during our visit, and the smaller Flash jackpot drops often. For jackpot online casino games, this is where we had the clearest overview.

Pros

  • Welcome bonus of 100% up to €200 plus 100 free spins, with a €20 minimum deposit.
  • A separate jackpot menu with WonderPot and the Flash jackpot.
  • Over 80 live roulette tables, and Speed Roulette and Mega Roulette take bets from €0.10.
  • The interface and help centre are in Slovenian.

Cons

  • A bank transfer can take up to 7 working days.
5

Ice Casino

9.0/10 Great 🔥
up to €500 + 100 FS
Welcome bonus
up to €500 + 100 FS
  • Bonus: 100%
  • Min. deposit: 10 €
  • Wagering: 40x
  • Licence: 🇨🇼 Curaçao

IceCasino has been around since 2013 and has over 3,500 slots certified by eCOGRA. On the homepage, there's a list of the games people in Slovenia play most: Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, Big Bass Splash, Sweet Bonanza 2500, Sugar Rush 1000 and Book of Fallen. We didn't need an account to try them. Everything except the live tables opened in demo mode, so we got a feel for the online casino games before depositing our first €10.

Pros

  • Thousands of games you can demo without signing up. For a first deposit of €10 or more, you get 100% up to €500 plus 100 free spins.
  • Weekly tournaments with €5,000 to €20,000 prize pools, usually split among the top 20.
  • Handy subcategories: Drops & Wins, Buy Feature, Ice Jackpot Hunt and Bonus Wagering Games. That last one lists every game that counts towards your wagering.

Cons

  • The weekly reload and cashback (3% to 12%) don't unlock until level 10 out of 99.
  • Live chat isn't available in Slovenian. You can use English, German, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, or Russian.

Not Sure Which Game to Open First? Start Here

First, think about what you want from the session. Online casino games vary a lot in how they play, and once you know what you're after, choosing one is easy.

  • Plenty of bonus features → slots. A slot packs everything into one spin: the stake, the symbols that land, and maybe free spins or multipliers. Gates of Olympus pays for clusters of symbols anywhere on the grid. Book of Dead pays along paylines and has one expanding symbol. Two slots can work in completely different ways, so check the paytable before you start.
  • A real dealer → live casino. You're watching a live stream from a studio, and you have a short window to place your bet, usually 10 to 15 seconds. The dealer sets the pace, not you.
  • The classics → roulette or blackjack. European roulette has a single zero. American has two, and that extra pocket raises the house edge from 2.7% to 5.26%. In blackjack, your choices affect the result, so it pays to learn basic strategy.
  • A shot at a big win → jackpots. Part of every stake feeds a shared prize pool. Mega Moolah has four jackpot levels, and they're awarded through a bonus wheel.
  • Quick sessions → crash games. In Aviator, you watch a multiplier climb and cash out before the plane disappears. Rounds last seconds. Mines and Plinko are just as fast: you pick tiles or drop a ball and see where it lands. If you only have a few minutes, these are the easiest online casino games to pick up. You can explain the rules in two sentences.

Same Game, Different Casino: Is There a Difference?

Yes. Big Bass Splash at one casino can be quite different from Big Bass Splash at another, and it comes down to five things.

Is the RTP the same?

Not necessarily. Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO and other providers offer casinos several RTP settings to choose from. Book of Dead, for instance, runs anywhere from 96.21% down to about 84%. You can find the figure in the game info, usually under the "i" icon. We checked it on every slot before spinning. A gap of 2 or 3 percentage points may not sound like much, but over 1,000 spins at €1 it works out to roughly €20 to €30 in expected losses.

Could a game be missing at some casinos?

It could. Providers aren't licensed in every country, and sometimes a casino just doesn't add a particular title. BigClash had Novomatic, for example, but Slotoro didn't. Since online casino games depend on agreements between casinos and providers, players in Slovenia should search for the title they want first and deposit only after they've found it.

Are bet limits the same everywhere?

The provider sets the range and the casino can narrow it. On Lightning Roulette, you can usually bet from €0.20, but the top limit depends on the casino. Bonuses add their own cap per spin, often around €5. Bet more than that and the casino can cancel your winnings. That's the first rule we look up before using a bonus on high-volatility online casino games.

Does the casino affect how the game feels?

More than you'd think. The game itself doesn't change, but everything around it does. On Hugo, switching slots didn't reload the lobby. Other casinos sent us back to the top of the list after every game. A favourites tab and a list of recently played games also help a lot.

Anything else to check before you start?

Yes, your account currency. When a game doesn't support euros, some casinos convert your balance automatically. Also check whether the game counts towards your bonus. Live tables and jackpots often count 0% or 10%, so if you're playing with a bonus, you need to know which online casino games actually help you clear it.

What We Looked at When Testing the Casinos' Games

Bonuses and withdrawal times do matter, but they weren't the point of this comparison. We wanted to see how each catalogue works in real use.

How fast can you find a specific game?

We took the same ten titles to each casino: Gates of Olympus, Book of Dead, Sweet Bonanza, Big Bass Splash, Aviator, Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time, Mega Moolah, Starburst and Mental. For each one, we counted the steps it took to get the game running. Malina and IceCasino were the quickest.

Does search by name work?

It worked on all of them, though some did it better. A few search bars picked up "olympus" after three letters. Others wanted the full title. One casino returned over 40 results for "book" and didn't sort them by popularity. We also tried searching online casino games by part of a provider's name to see what came up.

Can you filter by provider?

All the casinos we tried had a provider filter. Hugo puts provider logos right on the homepage, which saves time when there are so many games. Malina has more than 11,000 games, and without a filter you'd be lost there.

How are the categories set up?

The most useful categories are narrow ones like Bonus Buy, Crash, Megaways, or Fishing. A single Slots category with thousands of titles and no subgroups isn't much help, since online casino games with completely different mechanics get mixed together. IceCasino has a section just for games that count towards the bonus. It saved us more time reading terms than anything else.

Is it comfortable to play on a phone?

We tested in the browser on Android and iPhone, using the Telekom Slovenije and A1 networks. No app was required anywhere. Slots ran fine across the board. Where things differed was button size in the lobby, which shows online casino games in a grid of two or three columns. There's more on slots and live tables on mobile in a separate section below.

How quickly do games load?

Over Wi-Fi, most slots opened in two to four seconds. Live tables were slower because the video stream has to connect first. When the mobile signal was weak, the stream dropped to a lower quality, but our bets still got in on time.

Demo or Real Money?

Demo play and real-money play follow the same rules and use the same random number generator. What changes is what you're risking and which features you get. In demo mode, some online casino games don't have the bonus buy button.

  • When to try the demo first. Any time you're new to a mechanic. Never played a slot with cascades, Hold and Win, or a bonus buy? Fifty demo spins will show you how often the features actually trigger. Live tables have no demo at any casino.
  • What to check before playing for real. Did you bet the same amount in the demo that you plan to bet with real money? Demos give you a virtual balance of 1,000 or 5,000 credits, so at higher stakes they won't tell you how long a real budget will last. In our tests, we used €50 at each casino and played the demo at the same stake. The rest of our checks are in the list further down.
  • How it differs from casino to casino. It starts with demo access. IceCasino and Slotoro let you play demos without an account. Elsewhere, you have to log in first. With real money, the extras around the game come into play. At IceCasino and Hugo, every bet earns tournament points, and that can change which online casino games make sense to play during a tournament week.

Which Casino Suits the Way You Play?

This isn't a ranking. For each type of game, we noted what to look out for and where these online casino games impressed us most.

What to Check Before You Hit "Play"

We went through this list before every new game in our test. It works for any online casino game, at any casino:

  • the game is available in Slovenia;
  • the RTP shown in the game info;
  • the minimum bet;
  • the maximum bet;
  • the bonus terms, if you're using one, including the maximum bet per spin;
  • the withdrawal conditions and how long you have to meet the wagering;
  • whether you need to verify your account before the first withdrawal;
  • the game displays properly on your phone.

How to Find Specific Online Casino Games in 30 Seconds

When a casino has thousands of titles, what matters is how fast you can get to the one you want. These four methods worked everywhere we tested.

  • Search by name. Type the first three or four letters of the most unusual word in the title. "Bass" brings up a long list of variants, but "splash" gets you the right game. For sequels like Sweet Bonanza 1000, add the number as well.
  • Search by provider. If you know a game comes from Hacksaw Gaming or NoLimit City, use the provider filter. The list gets much shorter and you'll find the game in under ten seconds.
  • Filter by category. For Aviator or Plinko, go straight to Crash or Instant. For live tables, choose a subcategory like Roulette or Game Shows. Narrowing it down gets rid of hundreds of results you don't need.
  • Favourites and recently played. Tap the star the first time you open a game. All the casinos we tried save favourites to your profile, so they'll show up on your phone too. The recently played list is even faster because you don't have to do anything in advance.

Playing on Mobile: Are All Online Casino Games Equally Comfortable?

Not quite. Slots and crash games are made for portrait mode. Live tables and some older games, less so.

Slots on your phone

Newer slots like Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sugar Rush 1000 fit a vertical screen. Older ones make you turn your phone sideways. When buying bonuses, we kept an eye on how close the buy button sat to the spin button. On a 6.1-inch screen, there isn't much room between them.

Live casino on your phone

Live streams use the most data by far. One hour of Lightning Roulette cost us about 500 MB, so if you don't have Wi-Fi, think twice before playing on mobile data. On a small screen, the roulette betting layout gets crowded, and we used the rebet button more than we normally would.

What to check on a small screen

Before the first bet on a phone, we look at four things:

  • whether you can see your stake before spinning;
  • whether the paytable opens without rotating the screen;
  • whether the autoplay button covers any other controls;
  • whether the next bonus buy starts on its own after a bonus round, which is important if the online casino games you play have frequent bonus rounds.

Beyond the Games: Licensing, Safety and Responsible Gambling

All the casinos on this list hold foreign licences. Hugo, for example, is licensed in Curaçao under GCB OGL/2024/589/0556. None of them has a Slovenian online casino licence. Gambling in Slovenia is regulated by the Gaming Act (Zakon o igrah na srečo) and overseen by the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (FURS). Check the latest rules before you register, because Slovenian authorities don't supervise online casino games run by foreign operators.

We tested security ourselves. All of these casinos use SSL encryption and ask you to verify your identity before the first withdrawal. You'll need an ID, proof of address dated within the last three months, and at some casinos, a video call as well. At Malina, our documents were approved within the stated 24 to 48 hours.

You have to be 18 or over to play. In your profile, you can set daily or weekly deposit limits, turn on session reminders, and self-exclude if you need to. If gambling has stopped being fun, speak to your GP or an addiction counselling service.

FAQ

Which casinos have live casino?

Every casino on this list. Malina has the most tables, with over 300. Hugo has the widest choice of roulette.

Where can I find a big choice of online slots?

Malina has the most, with over 10,000. BigClash and IceCasino come next.

What is RTP in slots?

RTP is the share of all stakes a slot is expected to pay back over a very long time. A 96% RTP doesn't mean you'll get €96 back from €100 in one session.

Which providers make casino games?

For slots, Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, and Hacksaw Gaming. Evolution leads in live tables, and Aviator comes from Spribe.

Do all casinos have the same games?

No. Out of everything we tested, Novomatic was only at BigClash. That's why we always look up all the online casino games we want to play before making a deposit.
